Job summary

Danone North America is seeking a Production Scheduler/Planner for our Dallas, Texas beverage manufacturing facility. You will procure and manage materials to support the production schedule and create production schedules, ensuring compliance with standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a high-speed manufacturing environment, 2+ years with SAP Themis and APO, and strong inventory reconciliation experience. Some roles require flexibility for a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a high-speed beverage/CPG manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2 years experience with SAP Themis and APO or similar ERP system.
  • Prior experience in inventory reconciliation and ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Familiarity with aseptic processing or raw materials storage guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Daily management of all raw materials and packaging for the plant, including new items and depleting obsolete items.
  • Issue purchase orders and coordinate with vendors for on-time delivery.
  • Maintain min/max inventory levels based on requirements and shelf life.
  • Coordinate with Scheduling Team and vendors on last-minute inventory issues.
  • Ensure material transactions in SAP are accurate and timely.
  • Maintain vendor list and assist in resolving invoice discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Product Supply, Sales/Marketing, R&D, Engineering, and A/P to align production plans.

Job Summary

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Production Scheduler/Planner based in our Dallas, Texas beverage manufacturing facility. The Production Scheduler/Planner is responsible for the procurement and management of materials that support the production schedule, ensuring compliance with all standards. This role is also responsible for creating production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Management of all raw materials and packaging for the plant including new items and depleting obsolete items
  • Issue purchase orders for all raw materials and packaging; work with Vendors to manage on time deliver and issues that occur
  • Manage min/max inventory level based on requirements, shelf life & storage constraints
  • Coordinate with Scheduling Team and Vendors on any last-minute inventory issues or line changes that could affect material flow and storage capacity.
  • Ensure all material transactions in SAP are completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain Vendor list by adding/changing as needed
  • Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies with corporate A/P.
  • Work directly with corporate departments such as Procurement, Product Supply, Sales/Marketing, R&D, Creative Services, Engineering, and A/P to align on production plan to meet customer demand.
  • Collaborate with Transportation and Logistics Team to transfer raw materials to other production facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise and temperature variations.
  • Work schedules could include nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide the ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate.

Ensure adherence to plant standards and procedures (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, IWS, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, HOPE, Danone Behaviors, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE). About You

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of education, experience, and skills that enable them to excel in this position. The following qualifications outline what we're looking for, including both required and preferred criteria,

Education & Experience:

  • A high school diploma or GED, required. A bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain management, food science or related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within a high-speed food / beverage / CPG manufacturing environment, required.
  • At least 2 years' experience with SAP Themis and APO or other similar ERP system, required.
  • Prior experience in inventory reconciliation to ensure inventory accuracy, required.
  • Familiarity with government guidelines on aseptic processing or raw materials storage requirements, preferred.
  • A combination of education and experience that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required is acceptable.

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within time constraints.
  • Strong "self-management" skills. Must bring interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills required to interact with various levels of plant and corporate personnel.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and possess the ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly, while maintaining control, focus and accuracy with limited supervision in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules as needed to support 24/7 plant operations.
