Job summary

Bell Northbrook in Northbrook, IL is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily plant operations, ensure safety, food safety, and quality policies, and drive customer satisfaction. You will supervise production teams, implement SOPs, manage budgets, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with R&D and maintenance to minimize downtime and improve productivity.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering, Food Science & Technology or related field.
Minimum 3 years in food manufacturing/plant management.
Understanding of FDA, OSHA, EPA regulations; ERP experience desirable.

Responsibilities

Manages production employees and processes per Bell policies and GMP/HACCP.
Meets on-time service goals through scheduling and resource optimization.
Develops and enforces SOPs for production, sanitation, inventory transfers and documentation.
Leads employee development, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
Monitors KPIs and drives cost improvements in labor, overtime, waste and supplies.
Collaborates with R&D on new products and process validation with CCP understanding.
Ensures safety policies are followed; promotes safe work behaviors and compliance.
Participates in safety training, audits, and emergency drills.
