Job summary

Ovation Communities seeks a Plant Ops Technician Level II to ensure the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of facility systems. You will oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other critical systems to create a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff.

You will perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, document activities, and support upgrades or renovations with minimal disruption. Strong teamwork and safety focus are essential in this role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in plant operations or a similar technical role.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing equipment in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical).
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and perform repairs to ensure optimal operation.
  • Collaborate with team members to address maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and inspections for regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules to enhance efficiency.

Job description

Job Purpose:- The Plant Ops Technician Level II at Ovation Communities is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of facility systems and equipment. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff by overseeing the functionality of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other critical systems.Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.- Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal operation.- Collaborate with other team members to address and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and schedules to enhance operational efficiency.- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.- Provide support during facility upgrades and renovations, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and prioritize tasks to ensure timely resolution.- Communicate effectively with residents and staff to address maintenance concerns and provide updates on repair status.Required Education:- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training in a related field is preferred.Required Experience:- Minimum of 3 years of experience in plant operations or a similar technical role.- Proven track record of maintaining and repairing equipment in a manufacturing or industrial setting.- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues efficiently.Required Skills and Abilities:- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and work with complex machinery and systems.- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and management.- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols and procedures.- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by the operational needs.
