Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Plant Operator (Filler/Labeler) in Plumsteadville, PA to safely fill, label, and transfill gas cylinders while adhering to safety and quality procedures. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, forklift operation, and accurate documentation.

You will read cylinder labels, follow cGMP and FDA requirements, maintain a neat work area, assist with inventory, and work with cross-functional teams to support customer demand.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Good math and analytical skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Precise record keeping.
  • Familiar with computers.
  • Some heavy lifting.
  • Chemical knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Fill high and low pressure cylinders in accordance with safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Label cylinders and boxes accurately.
  • Transfill low pressure cylinders on a manifold.
  • Move cylinders as required in the plant and operate forklift.
  • Complete all documentation and forms per cGMP/FDA requirements during fill process.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly workplace.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining stock to meet customer demand; assist with monthly inventory counts.
  • Adhere to safety rules and report accidents or near misses as required.
  • Read cylinder labels and color-coding to ensure correct handling.
