Job summary

Ergon, Inc. is seeking a Plant Operator responsible for the operation and maintenance of plant facilities. This role ensures the day-to-day production tasks are completed effectively and safely while following safety policies.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED with two years of production or maintenance experience. Work conditions include exposure to outdoor conditions and various materials typical in an asphalt emulsions manufacturing plant.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a team environment with laboratory and sales personnel.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to safely lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes valves for product transfers.
• Performs general preventative maintenance of pump and valve systems.
• Loads emulsion trucks.

Skills

Solid math and reading skills

Ability to learn new tasks and skills

Proficient computer skills

Education

High School diploma or GED equivalent

Two years production/maintenance experience or completion of mechanical/industrial trade school program
