Airgas is looking for a plant operator for our Nitrous oxide facility. To perform this job successfully, we are looking for the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements ideally sought below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability that help our team succeed.
The physical demands here are essential to the role, with reasonable accommodations available. The position requires the ability to stand, walk, and use hands to handle tools or reach with arms. Candidates should have the capability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds with provided equipment. This role involves working near mechanical parts and in various weather conditions; specific vision (color, depth, and focus) and sensory awareness (hearing/smell) are necessary for safety and quality control.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and regularly risk exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
