Job summary

Rangen, LLC is seeking a Plant Operator to support livestock and aqua feed production, ensuring quality control, maintenance, and a clean facility. You may operate an extruder, grinder, mixer, or pellet machine and assist with packaging and formulation support.

The role requires hands-on operation, documentation, and flexibility to learn multiple plant tasks, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance. A clean work history and ability to stand for long periods are essential.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience; must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to operate material-handling equipment, forklift, and other equipment.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions in English, including basic math skills and documentation.
  • Willingness to work overtime hours as needed.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with set-up of production lines, inspect materials, and blend according to scheduled jobs and specific instructions under general supervision.
  • Operate processing equipment per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assist with quality control throughout production.
  • Work with supervisor to accurately document all activities, including processing, maintenance, and cleaning tasks.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and follow all safety, food safety, FDA, OSHA, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Learn and perform multiple roles (mixing, bagging, forklift, loading) to support plant operations.
  • Report safety or food safety concerns immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
