Job summary

Rangen LLC is seeking a Plant Operator in Missouri to assist in producing livestock and aquaculture feed, ensuring quality control, maintenance, and cleanliness on a daily basis.

You will operate equipment, work with a supervisor to document activities, and support multiple roles including mixing, bagging, and forklift operations while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in production or manufacturing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • High School Diploma or GED; able to follow written and verbal directions in English and complete documentation.

Position Summary:

The primary role of the Plant Operator is to assist in producing livestock and/or aqua feed products, as well as to ensure quality control, maintenance, and facility cleanliness in daily activities. This role may involve operating equipment such as an extruder, grinder, mixer, or pellet machine, as well as working in the warehouse. This role also includes packaging, filling, assisting with formulation, and housekeeping.

What You’ll Do in this Role:
  • Assist with set up of production lines, inspecting materials, and blending, according to scheduled jobs and specific instructions under general supervision.
  • Operate processing equipment per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assist with quality control throughout production.
  • Working with supervisor, accurately document all activities, including processing, maintenance, and cleaning tasks.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and follow all safety, food safety, FDA, OSHA, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Learn and perform multiple roles (mixing, bagging, forklift, loading) to support plant operations.
  • Report safety or food safety concerns immediately.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What You Bring to the Role:
  • 2+ years of experience and must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment, forklift, and other equipment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions in English and complete the necessary documentation, including using basic math skills
  • Willing to work overtime hours as needed
  • High School Diploma or GED
