Pencco is seeking a Plant Operator to ensure safe and efficient production operations. Responsibilities include handling and monitoring chemicals, recording data, and collaborating with the team to improve processes.

The role requires physical endurance and flexibility for day, night, and weekend shifts during peak seasons. Ideal candidates will have experience with heavy machinery, basic mechanical and computer skills, and strong communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods.
• Experience operating heavy machinery (forklifts, excavators, loaders, bobcats) preferred.
• Understanding of chemical processes and laboratory testing.
• Basic mechanical and computer skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Must lift 50 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload railcars, trucks, and tankers as required.
• Store, retrieve, mix, and monitor chemicals in production.
• Accurately record ingredients, weights, temperatures, and input data into database.
• Troubleshoot production equipment and processes.
• Follow safety and quality regulations and wear PPE.
• Report accidents, safety violations, or concerns.
• Assist in planning and improving processes and product quality.
• Work with team to ensure efficient production operations.
• Complete required Lyons trainings and related programs.
• Be flexible for day, night, or weekend shifts during peak seasons.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.

The role also involves troubleshooting equipment issues, adhering to safety and quality regulations, and working collaboratively with team members to enhance production efficiency. The position demands physical endurance and a commitment to safety, with the need to work flexible shifts, including nights and peak seasons.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Load and unload railcars, trucks, and tankers applicable to the plant's operations.
• Store, retrieve, mix, and monitor chemicals used in production processes.
• Accurately record information such as ingredients, weights, and temperatures, and input data into the database.
• Troubleshoot issues with production equipment and processes.
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal safety and quality regulations including proper use of protective gear (i.e. PPE)
• Report accidents, safety violations, or other concerns.
• Assist in planning and improving processes and product quality.
• Work effectively with team members to ensure efficient production operations.
• Complete required training (i.e. Lyons trainings).
• Ability to work collaboratively to improve processes and product quality in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Be willing to work flexible shifts, including day, night, and weekend shifts, during peak seasons.
• Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned.
