As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you’ll play a vital role in our daily operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials critical to our success. You’ll work hands-on with the latest equipment, collaborate with experienced professionals, and contribute to a culture where safety and innovation are paramount.
Operate heavy and light mobile equipment, including skid steers, as trained and directed tomaintainquarry access points.
Perform pre-operational checks and routine servicing of assigned equipment.
Conduct site clean-up using hand tools and ensure work platformsremainclear and safe.
Safely run andmonitorthe crushing plant asrequired.
Assistwith plant repairs and maintenance tasks, including basic welding and fitting, as needed.
Handle water hoses and perform cleanup whilemaintainingawareness of electrical hazards and slippery surfaces.
Report any operational or environmental issues promptly to theforeman.
Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures and use all required PPE in compliance with OSHA/MSHA guidelines.
Support the team in achievinghigh standardsof productivity and environmental responsibility.
Pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and “Fit for Work” physical.
Provide valid documentation for I-9 eligibility.
Demonstrate a professional, courteous attitude toward colleagues, supervisors, and the public.
Be flexible to work nights, weekends, overtime, and travel as needed.
Be comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather andonrough terrain.
Physical capability for climbing, stretching, driving/steering, sitting, twisting, and using hand tools.
Commitment to a strong safety culture and team-based approach.
Mandatory: Minimum age of 18 due to work environment requirements.
High school diploma or GEDrequired.
Previousexperienceoperatingheavy equipment is preferred.
Technical education or certificates in basic welding/fittinga plus.
State-approved Welding Certification is a bonus but notrequired.
