We are looking for a Plant Operations Technician to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Bapchule, AZ.
During your work as a Plant Operations Technician I – Maricopa, AZ, you will
- Receive and distribute incoming material, equipment, samples, drums, totes, cylinders, etc. by unloading trucks, handling packages, and stocking shelves/storerooms.
- Monitor packaging appearance, including printing on bags and placards, barcoding, and wrapping, and enter plant monitoring data for the treating and packaging area as instructed.
- Operate forklifts, fill tanks and containers, operate plant equipment, monitor treatment process, acid concentration, dryer temperatures, equipment, and conduct daily equipment inspections.
- Operate and oversee automatic seed sampling equipment to extract precise samples from each lot as instructed.
- Ensure safe operation of skid steer, front‑end loader, pallet wrapping machines, treating equipment, baggers, and other packaging equipment to meet quality packaging standards.
- Adhere to all safety compliance rules and regulations set by BASF and OSHA, including but not limited to Confined Space procedures, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and safe practices when climbing ladders.
- Conduct general repairs during unscheduled breakdowns and shutdowns, maintain good housekeeping practices (5S), and follow the equipment maintenance schedule.

- Hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Have one to three years’ experience in seed production, ginning, and seed conditioning or relevant farm/mechanical, or manufacturing.
- Can work at heights, lift 35 pounds, and are able to climb ladders, stairs, and steps.
- Are able to wear respiratory protection equipment which may include full face, half face, or dust mask.
- Are proficient in plant operations safety practices and can actively participate in the site safety committee.
- Can understand measuring equipment readings, record data, and follow written instruction.
- Have knowledge of root cause analysis and have excellent math and communication skills.
- Are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
