Job summary

Model 1 Commercial Vehicles is hiring an Operations Manager to oversee the Summerville production facility, ensuring efficient daily operations and strong cross-department coordination. You will manage on-site resources, strive for productivity gains, and uphold quality standards across production and logistics.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing supervision, proven leadership, and a hands-on approach to process improvement, cost control, and performance management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing supervision with a proven track record of managing teams, driving performance, and optimizing processes.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in process improvement methodologies.
• Exceptional performance management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: Manage and coordinate daily operational activities, including production, logistics and material management.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency to reduce costs, and increase overall productivity.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of staff members, setting clear goals, providing feedback and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Budget Management: Monitor location expenditures and ensure financial targets are met
• Problem Resolution: Address operational issues and challenges promptly, implementing effective solutions to mitigate disruptions.
• Quality: Ensure adherence to company quality standards, industry regulations and safety standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as HR, Finance, Fixed Operations and Sales to support location initiatives and objectives.
