Job summary

Foremost Farms is seeking a Plant Operations Associate to support daily manufacturing operations, inventory tracking, and milk manifest management. The role collaborates with Operations and external partners to resolve discrepancies and keep plant operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include monitoring inventory with Oracle, reconciling invoices, and ensuring accurate data for KPIs. A candidate with strong attention to detail and Excel skills will thrive in a fast-paced, plant-floor

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate discrepancies.
• Ability to partner with Operations and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Track inventory usage and batching activities, including lot information and usage rates.
• Use Oracle and other systems to monitor inventory transactions, operational data, and KPIs.
• Manage milk manifests, including reconciling invoices and balancing shipments with haulers.
• Analyze and validate milk receipts from outside vendors and investigate discrepancies as needed.
• Partner with Operations personnel and internal and external stakeholders to gather information, research issues, and support timely resolution.
• Provide support for the SCORE Management Process.
• Support the upkeep and maintenance of KPI and Action Board functions.
• Cross train and serve as back up for other administrative roles at the facility.

Position Overview:

The Plant Operations Associate supports the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility through inventory tracking, production reporting, milk manifest management, scheduling, and other operational and administrative activities. This role works closely with Operations and other internal and external partners to ensure information is accurate, identify and resolve discrepancies, and support efficient plant operations.

Key Accountabilities:

• Support production and manufacturing operations:

• Track inventory usage and batching activities, including lot information and usage rates.

• Use Oracle and other systems to monitor inventory transactions, operational data, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Manage milk manifests, including reconciling invoices and balancing shipments with haulers.

• Analyze and validate milk receipts from outside vendors and investigate discrepancies as needed.

• Partner with Operations personnel and internal and external stakeholders to gather information, research issues, and support timely resolution.

• Provide support for the Supply Chain Operations Resource Engagement (SCORE) Management Process.

• Support the upkeep and maintenance of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and Action Board functions.

• Cross train and serve as back up for other administrative roles at the facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED.

2. 1 year of job-related experience.

3. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and investigate root causes.

4. Ability to partner effectively with Operations personnel to gather information, resolve issues, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

5. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Associate degree in business or a related field.

2. Three to five years of job-related experience.

3. Experience using Oracle R12, SAP, or another enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

Physical Setting:

Regular workplace presence is required. Approximately 85% of the role is computer-based and 15% is spent working on the plant floor. The primary workstation is located on the production floor. This role is required to wear a provided uniform and follow all applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and plant safety requirements.
