B&G Foods in Cincinnati is seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic to maintain, repair, and improve packaging plant equipment. You will work to ensure reliability, safety and cost-effective operations, supporting production needs on a rotating shift.

The role requires 2–5 years of maintenance experience, strong mechanical and electrical skills, and the ability to read technical drawings. Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus technical training preferred.
• 2–5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and troubleshooting skills.
• Machinist skills a plus.
• Willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift with overtime as needed.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance on plant equipment to maximise production, safety and quality.
• Generate and complete work orders; initiate requests when needed.
• Collaborate with operators, line leaders and technical staff on maintenance issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and update programs as required.
• Participate in training to improve skills and teamwork.
• Contribute to root cause analysis for major downtime events.
• Adhere to safety, housekeeping and regulatory requirements.
• Read electrical and mechanical drawings and safely operate shop tools.
• Test and repair equipment to original specifications.
