Job summary

G.Z.Q.S.O. in Troy, MI is seeking a Plant Manager/Quality to oversee material orders, track progress, handle quality issues, and ensure on-time shipping. The role requires ISO quality standards knowledge, Excel proficiency, and experience with JobBoss.

You will be the primary contact for customers regarding quality and purchasing and will manage facility hiring. Experience in metal fabrication, reading blueprints, and coordinating with vendors and government inspectors is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a plant management or quality control role.
• Strong understanding of ISO quality standards.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with JobBoss.
• Excellent communication and typing skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to develop quick solutions.
• Experience in metal fabrication or related processes preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform part inspections.
• Knowledge of military specifications (mil spec) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Material Management: Order all materials for jobs and track shipments.
• Quality Control: Handle internal and external quality issues and corrective actions.
• Customer Relations: Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding quality and purchasing.
• Operations Management: Learn and manage order of operations and use JobBoss for tracking.
• Human Resources: Manage hiring processes for the facility.
• Vendor Relations: Coordinate with vendors for services such as painting, plating, machining, and heat treating.
