48forty Solutions LLC is seeking a Plant Manager to partner with the General Manager to lead all plant operations and drive safety, quality, service and cost performance. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, policy compliance, and Lean initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in supervision within manufacturing, a degree in operations or supply chain, and familiarity with private fleet management and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations/Supply Chain or related field.
• Six Sigma/Lean certification preferred.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Experience with private fleet management/transportation preferred.
• Proven ability to motivate and manage employee relations with non-exempt staff.
• Experience overseeing safety performance and programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production and shipping schedules based on raw and finished goods.
• Lead as a working manager, mentoring employees and handling relations.
• Support plant admin to ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with HR recruiter for hiring decisions.
• Partner with the General Manager on cost and yield performance.
• Drive cost control and process improvements within the plant.
• Monitor operations and compliance with OSHA and local laws.
• Drive safety improvements across the plant.
• Ensure SOPs align with PMS Commercial Organization and Global Supply Chain.
• Deliver best practices and cost efficiencies while maintaining quality and material utilization.
• Implement Lean initiatives to eliminate waste.
• Lead staff recruitment, training, development, and evaluation.
• Improve asset utilization through transportation scheduling and driver management.
