Job summary

Software Placement Group (SPG) seeks a seasoned Plant Manager to lead Wisconsin operations for a green-tech industrial capital equipment manufacturer. This direct-hire role grants full command over fabrication, supply chain, and Lean deployment in a stable, autonomy-rich environment.

You will drive master scheduling, strategic procurement, inventory control, and outbound logistics, while mentoring the shop floor on Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of leadership as Plant/Operations Manager in industrial fabrication or heavy assembly.
• Experience with Lean, Kaizen events, VSM, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Auditing procurement, inventory, shipping/receiving and scheduling processes.
• Strong cross-functional communication and long-tenure track.
• U.S. citizenship or green card; reside within commuting distance of WI facility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fabrication, master scheduling, procurement, inventory, and outbound logistics.
• Lead Lean on the shop floor; drive CI, Kaizen, 5S, and accountability.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and shop floor to resolve bottlenecks.
• Analyze yields, negotiate freight programs, implement waste-reduction strategies.
• Define and monitor KPIs, analyze throughput, and plan CapEx investments.
