The Plant Manager Laundry Operations is responsible for oversite of the laundry operations at an assigned facility. This position is responsible for all related functions, procedures, programs and policies in achieving standards and efficient operations of the Plant. Additional responsibilities include hiring, training, coaching and counseling respective Associates. This position will ensure Associates’ commitment to maintaining laundry expectations through observation, communication and recognition. The Plant Manager serves as a role model, develops talent and provides staff support in handling complex situations. Other activities include managing outside contractors to perform certain repair or replacement projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Take ownership for the successful operation of laundry working collaboratively with business partners to ensure KPIs and other performance goals are achieved.

  • Monitor the key performance indicators of Quality, Timeliness and Budget and ensure laundry management team is working together to achieve targets. Hold team accountable for measurable results and develop action plans for team if key metrics aren’t being achieved.

  • Ensure proper inventory of tools and chemicals is always maintained; ensure equipment is in good operating condition, rotating out in accordance with replacement schedules/plans.

  • Provide routine updates to leadership meeting frequency and information expectations established.

  • Act as a change leader and champion organizational changes to achieve short and long-term goals and objectives.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure that the operations has an active recruiting strategy in place – effectively monitoring staffing levels at site and ensuring TA and the HR Business Partner are aligned with the strategy to ensure staffing levels are maintained.

  • Partner with Learning and Development and Field HR to ensure there is an onboarding, training and retention strategy in place for team members; working with Laundry Leadership to ensure process is followed and there is correct selection, onboarding, training, and employee retention and recognition program.

  • Interview, select, onboard, and oversee training of site personnel including Laundry Managers.

  • Manage performance of management team, including evaluating, coaching, developing as needed.

  • Establish and maintain a welcoming culture of engagement and inclusion.

  • Provide timely response to associate concerns by addressing them directly or referring them to others who can assist.

  • Provide ongoing performance feedback to all Laundry Associates.

  • Consistently enforce established policies and procedures.

  • Ensure established policies and procedures are carried out as defined, including but not limited to; MasterTalks, STS, grooming/uniform standards, new hire onboarding/orientation, training, safety standup meetings, etc.

  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly meetings to engage with team.

  • Ensure a safe working environment for all team members, utilizing safety committee meetings, training, and good practices are taking place.

  • Ensure that a transportation strategy is in effect for the site – utilizing vehicles and drivers with efficiency, and that vehicle safety protocols and program are being followed by all laundry associates and other assets are maintained and in good working order.

  • Consistently and effectively communicate the company objectives to management team through organized and scheduled meetings.

  • Build a professional relationship with clients and other key members of the clients’ staff and maintain frequent communication with resort team.

  • Develop a customer first culture and display professional behavior to MasterCorp clients and client owners and guests.


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to position or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Minimum five years of plant management responsibility preferably in a laundry operations facility.


OTHER QUALIFICATIONS


  • A proven track record of driving strong performance and key field operations metrics.

  • Outstanding leadership skills. Inspiring interpersonal effectiveness to lead teams, train talent and effect change. Track record of building talent.

  • Language Skills: Effective written and verbal English communication, bi-lingual Spanish a plus.

  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel.

  • Work Environment: Working weekends, holidays and irregular hours.

  • Ability to drive a company vehicle without restrictions.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS


  • Rarely – on average 5% of travel on a quarterly basis


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in an office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, faxes, and filing cabinets. Additionally, t his position works in a plant operations environment with odors and/or dust and cleaning and laundry chemicals.


Plant Manager Laundry Operations is not limited to the above-mentioned job description and may be requested to do additional tasks as directed by MasterCorp Management.


Physical Requirements

This position frequently requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, moving, lifting (up to 25 lbs), bending, reaching, occasional ascending/descending, and repetitive motions. Employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their job.
