Job summary

Airgas, Inc. is hiring a Plant Manager for the Canton, OH location to lead the team responsible for producing and repackaging compressed and liquid gases into cylinders.

You will drive safety, quality, and operational efficiency while coordinating with sales and logistics to meet customer needs. The role requires strong supervisory experience, a focus on safety regulations, and the ability to optimize workflows and production performance.

Qualifications

• Two years in a supervisory/leadership role in industry, with preferred experience in compressed/packaged gases.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required for consideration.
• Strong safety knowledge and ability to enforce policies across plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and empower the team engaged in producing and repackaging of compressed and liquid gases into cylinders.
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of the plant and compliance with all policies and laws.
• Optimize production schedules and workforce to meet customer needs and stock levels.
• Mentor operational leaders and coach teams to meet performance goals.
• Onboard new team members and support cross-functional learning to cover staffing gaps.
• Coordinate with outside sales for order accuracy and timely deliveries via Airgas trucks.
• Monitor SAP reports daily and manage overtime within reason.
