Job summary

One Degree Ag is seeking a Plant Manager to lead daily operations at a feed mill. The role oversees production output, logistics, equipment upkeep, and customer relationships, setting a hands-on tone across safety and throughput.

Responsibilities include workforce development, direct manufacturing and logistics, inventory tracking, quality assurance, and maintaining GMPs and facility maintenance. Strong leadership and communication are essential to drive performance and retention.

Qualifications

• Feed mill supervisory experience preferred.
• Hands-on background in batch manufacturing, pelleting, grain handling, and rail/truck logistics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven leadership with ability to build cohesive teams and reduce turnover.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop the workforce through hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing performance management.
• Direct batch manufacturing, pelleting, grain processing, and truck/rail logistics across the site.
• Track inventory positions and oversee quality assurance protocols across all production runs.
• Champion a workplace culture rooted in safety, ownership, curiosity, and mutual respect.
• Run the QC testing program and report findings to the operations manager and quality manager.
• Uphold Safe Feed/Safe Food certification standards and ensure full compliance with current GMPs.
• Maintain housekeeping standards, equipment condition, and grain quality throughout the facility.

Education

Degree in Ag Engineering or Feed/Milling Science
