Job summary

Irving Knight Group seeks an experienced Plant Manager to lead aggregates operations in Colorado. You will oversee crushing, washing, screening, mining, stockpiling, and product load-out, while driving safety, efficiency, and compliance across the site.

Responsibilities include developing production plans, managing budgets, coordinating maintenance, and leading supervisors and hourly staff. Strong regulatory knowledge and stakeholder collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Plant Manager experience in the aggregates industry, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in the Construction Materials / Mining Industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant safety initiatives and ensure compliance with MSHA, environmental, and company regulations
• Oversee crushing, washing, screening, mining, stockpiling, and product load-out operations
• Develop production and mine plans to optimise throughput, efficiency, and equipment availability
• Maintain environmental permits and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
• Partner with quality and commercial teams to meet product specifications and customer requirements
• Manage operating budgets, inventory reporting, cost-per-ton performance, and capital improvement projects
• Direct preventive maintenance programmes and coordinate major plant shutdowns and repairs
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, lead personnel, and hourly employees
• Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and support positive employee relations
• Represent the organisation with customers, contractors, local communities, landowners, and regulatory agencies
• Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the site
