Job summary

Pick Your Part in Michigan is seeking an operations leader to supervise multiple departments across production, admin, distribution and safety. You will drive customer service, quality, and efficiency while managing budgets and KPIs.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 5 years of managerial experience in related fields, with preference for salvage-yard familiarity and strong MS Office reporting abilities.

Summary

Responsible for general supervision of all phases of plant operations including production, quality control, high quality customer service, maintenance, receiving, and shipping. To assure that the plant is run in a safe, efficient, and proper manner. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma/GED.


• 5+ years of managerial/supervisory experience related to production, operations, and/or distribution.

Preferred Requirements

• Prior experience management in salvage yards.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.


• Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives.

May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE). May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.


• Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
