Job summary

The Plant Manager at Top Echelon Software, LLC. in California leads all Operations and Maintenance activities to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable plant performance. You will align objectives with client requirements and oversee manpower, tools, and spare parts to sustain peak operation.

Lead safety, QA/QC, environmental programs, and oversee outages, training, policy reviews, and personnel development while reporting to the Operations Director and coordinating with other divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 10 years of power plant or similar experience.
• 3 years of experience supervising technical, supervisory, and administrative personnel.
• Gas turbine experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Plant's Safety, Operations, Maintenance, Administrative, and QA/QC programs.
• Manage planned and unplanned plant outages and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and power requirements.
• Ensure alignment of plant personnel and objectives with client requirements.
• Oversee staffing, training, and qualification programs for plant personnel.
• Review and update plant policies and procedures to reflect current operating needs.
• Direct sourcing, screening, and hiring of new or replacement personnel.
• Ensure certification status of affected personnel is maintained.
• Maintain morale and motivation of plant personnel.
• Prepare client and utility reports, budgets, and environmental compliance reports.

Summary

The Plant Manager is responsible for directing all Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities at the plant. Ensure that an adequate supply of manpower, tools, equipment, and spare parts are available to provide for the safe and efficient operation of the plant. Ensure that the plant is operated in compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and power generating requirements.

Primary Duties

• Ensure that all plant personnel and plant objectives are in alignment with client requirements.
• Administer the plant's Safety, Operations, NERC Compliance, Maintenance, Administrative, Training, Chemistry and Environmental QA/QC programs to assure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the plant.
• Manage and oversee the performance of planned and unplanned plant outages.
• Implement training and qualification programs to assure that plant procedures are understood and properly followed by all plant personnel.
• Conduct periodic reviews of plant policies and procedures to assure that they reflect current plant operating requirements.
• Direct the sourcing, screening and hiring of new or replacement personnel as needed.
• Verify that the certification status of affected operation and maintenance personnel is maintained current.
• Ensure that the morale and motivation of plant personnel is maintained at a high level at all times.
• Oversee the preparation of required client and utility reports, budgets, environmental compliance reports, etc.

Working Relationships

Report to the Operations Director and supervise the Plant Supervisors and the Administrative Manager. Be the single point of contact between Company on all matters pertaining to the operation and maintenance of the plant. Cooperate with other Company division managers as needed.

Job Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or equivalent from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.

  • o 10 years of power plant or similar experience.
  • o Three years of experience supervising technical, supervisory, and administrative personnel.
• Preferred Experience: Gas turbine experience.
