Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is assisting a meat-manufacturing client in Milford, Delaware, to fill a Plant Manager role.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership across production, maintenance, quality, safety, and engineering, driving performance and a culture of excellence. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in plant leadership in meat (poultry preferred), a Bachelor's in a relevant field, and proven expertise in lean, Six Sigma, and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in area manager, high-level superintendent, or current plant manager in the meat industry, preferably poultry.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong track record leading large-scale operations.
• Proficiency in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for manufacturing departments within the facility.
• Oversee production, maintenance, quality assurance, supply chain, and engineering functions.
• Drive safety initiatives, ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and environmental regulations.
• Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Develop and mentor departmental leaders, fostering a high-performance culture and talent pipeline.
