Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks an experienced Plant Manager in Itasca, IL to lead manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement, safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. The role will build high-performing teams and push operational excellence to support ongoing business growth.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of manufacturing leadership, a proven Lean/CI track record, and CNC or precision manufacturing experience; an MBA is preferred for multi-site expansion

Qualifications

• 6+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations including production, quality, maintenance, and workforce management.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
• Develop and execute strategies to support production scaling and business growth.
• Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve performance objectives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Build, coach, and develop manufacturing leadership and production teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and customer satisfaction.

Job description

LHH is seeking an experienced Plant Manager in Itasca, IL to lead manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. This role will lead plant performance, develop high-performing teams, and drive operational excellence initiatives to support continued business growth.

Salary:

$140,000 - $180,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations, including production, quality, maintenance, and workforce management.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
• Develop and execute strategies to support production scaling and business growth.
• Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve performance objectives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Build, coach, and develop manufacturing leadership and production teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of proven manufacturing leadership, working within multiple production departments.
• Proven success implementing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement programs.
• Experience within CNC machining or similar precision manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience scaling manufacturing operations to support significant business growth.
