The Silgan Plastics Corporation Houston plant seeks a Plant Manager to lead the manufacturing operation, align cross‑functional teams, and drive performance against safety, quality and cost targets.
You will set strategic and tactical goals, manage the annual budget, monitor key metrics, and report bi‑weekly updates to senior leadership while ensuring strong customer satisfaction and continuous improvement across the facility.
This is a leadership position directly accountable for the effective operation and performance of the manufacturing plant. The Plant Manager ensures that various functions of the operation interact cohesively to meet the overall goals of the corporation. The Plant Manager provides clear direction and leadership to their staff through goal setting and timely feedback, maintains focus on tactical and strategic plans, and ensures alignment with corporate goals and objectives. The Plant Manager interfaces with all cross‑functional groups and acts as liaison between the manufacturing plant and other disciplines. A fundamental responsibility is to ensure product safety and quality in all duties.
Required: High School Diploma. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field.
Required: Minimum of 5 years plant management experience. Preferred: 5–10 years of experience managing a diverse staff in a medium to large technical plastic process operation.
