Job summary

Circularix is seeking a hands-on Plant Manager for our extrusion manufacturing facility in Hatfield Township, PA. You will lead daily operations across multiple extrusion lines, drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and coach supervisors and operators to achieve production goals.

In this role you will coordinate maintenance, analyze process data, and drive continuous improvement while upholding OSHA and company safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with extrusion, plastics, rubber, film, profile, tubing, sheet, or related continuous manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Strong understanding of production scheduling, machine operation, quality control, safety practices, and maintenance coordination.

Plant Manager –Extrusion Manufacturing Facility

The Plant Manager is responsible for leading all daily operations of a multiple extrusion line manufacturing facility, including production, safety, quality, maintenance coordination, staffing, scheduling, and continuous improvement. This hands‑on leadership role ensures the facility meets production goals while maintaining a safe, efficient, compliant, and team‑oriented workplace.


Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee day-to-day extrusion line operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer delivery requirements.

  • Lead, coach, train, and schedule production supervisors, employees, operators, material handlers, and support staff.

  • Monitor extrusion processes, line performance, scrap rates, downtime, and labor utilization; take corrective action when targets are not met.

  • Serve as the primary technical support resource for extrusion processes and production equipment, including process troubleshooting, equipment setup, operating parameters, and operator guidance.

  • Serve as the primary technical support resource for facility reliability programs, including equipment reliability tracking, preventive and predictive maintenance support, downtime analysis, and continuous improvement of asset performance.

  • Utilize engineering skills and technical judgment to troubleshoot equipment concerns as necessary, support root cause analysis, and help implement effective corrective actions.

  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, including compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, PPE use, and incident reporting.

  • Ensure products are manufactured to required specifications through effective quality checks, documentation, corrective actions, and process controls.

  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment readiness with internal staff or outside vendors.

  • Manage raw material usage, inventory levels, finished goods staging, and coordination with purchasing, shipping, and receiving.

  • Maintain accurate production records, labor reports, quality documentation, maintenance logs, and performance metrics.

  • Analyze data to identify and implement improvements that reduce waste, improve throughput, lower costs, and strengthen consistency across the extrusion process.

  • Support hiring, onboarding, performance feedback, employee accountability, and workforce development.

  • Communicate regularly with ownership or senior leadership regarding production performance, staffing needs, equipment issues, customer priorities, and capital needs.

  • Ensure the facility remains organized, clean, and inspection‑ready through strong housekeeping and 5S practices.


Required Qualifications


  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory, production leadership, or plant management role.

  • Experience with extrusion, plastics, rubber, film, profile, tubing, sheet, or related continuous manufacturing processes preferred.

  • Strong understanding of production scheduling, machine operation, troubleshooting, quality control, safety practices, and basic maintenance coordination.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead small teams, set expectations, hold employees accountable, and build a positive shop‑floor culture.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and standard manufacturing compliance practices.

  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, production specifications, quality standards, equipment manuals, and basic operational data.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, production reports, inventory systems, or similar business software.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related engineering field preferred.

Physical Requirements


  • Ability to spend significant time on the production floor in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift materials or tools as required by the operation.

  • Must be comfortable working near moving equipment, elevated temperatures, noise, and material handling activity while following required safety procedures.



  • May require occasional overtime, weekend work, or off‑shift support depending on production needs.
