Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the manufacturing operation, overseeing approximately 180 union associates. You will partner with Senior Leadership to shape the business strategy and drive profitable growth while championing LEAN initiatives.

The role focuses on safety, quality, and productivity, with responsibilities for staffing, training, and resolving production issues to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and JD Edwards.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills and basic arithmetic.
• Ability to read and interpret complex documentation.
• Previous leadership experience in a technical or manufacturing environment is required.
• Extensive Leadership background is highly valued.
• 10 years Needle punch nonwovens experience preferred.
• Plastics extrusion experience and knowledge strongly preferred.
• Capital expenditure and project management experience.

Plans, directs, and controls all activities of the manufacturing operation, with approximately 180 union associates.

The performance of this position may require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.

Standard work hours will be 7am - 4pm. Nights and/or weekend coverage is probable.
