Vernovis is seeking a Plant Manager in Fairfield, Ohio to lead daily manufacturing operations across multiple departments, drive safety culture, and optimize productivity. You will set priorities, manage budgets, and partner with Sales, Design, Engineering, and Finance to meet schedule and cost targets.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in manufacturing with strong leadership, Lean, OSHA knowledge, and ERP/MRP proficiency, including ERP system usage and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of manufacturing experience in a custom, project-driven, or high-mix environment.
• At least 7 years of people-leadership experience with direct accountability for operational results.
• Experience leading multiple production departments or manufacturing functions.
• Demonstrated success improving safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, labor utilization, and cost.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and hands-on experience leading plant safety.
• Practical experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Strong ERP or MRP experience and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily plant operations across print, paint, CNC, assembly, shipping, receiving, and logistics.
• Establish production priorities, set departmental goals, and keep work on schedule.
• Build a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental requirements.
• Drive improvements in quality, productivity, on-time delivery, labor utilization, and manufacturing cost.
• Identify and remove production bottlenecks, scrap, rework, and other operational inefficiencies.
• Apply Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and root-cause problem-solving practices.
• Coach and develop production supervisors while establishing clear expectations and accountability.
• Partner with Sales, Design, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, and Finance.
• Manage labor, material, equipment, and other plant expenses.
• Use ERP and manufacturing data to monitor performance and make informed operational decisions.
• Recruit, develop, and retain strong manufacturing talent.
• Create and maintain clear production processes, procedures, and controls.
