The Plant Manager is responsible for identifying and implementing manufacturers’ best practices to produce process improvements to maximize quality production. This role will oversee the daily manufacturing operations of the organization, which will include directing, managing, and coaching all aspects of production with overall accountability for safety, quality, cost, and production, while developing a self-sustaining team of direct reports that consistently produce quality products while maintaining all standards. This position requires a well-rounded professional with experience successfully overseeing all aspects of a fast-paced manufacturing organization and building positive relationships with other leaders while being a change agent throughout the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Overall accountability for safety, quality, productivity, and innovation
  • Oversee work schedule to ensure coverage
  • Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste
  • Drive continuous improvement and waste reduction
  • Work with engineering and materials team to drive waste reduction, optimize material flow, and improve manufacturing processes
  • Manage production and production schedule
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team
  • Engages as a business leader, demonstrating proficient business acumen
  • Partners with other senior leaders to plan and execute long-range strategic priorities
  • Ensures high quality of support and services to teams
  • Drives a rigorous approach to organizational design, linking strategy and organization
  • With other leaders, improve the employee’s experience and strengthen team performance
  • Leads a team of direct reports and oversees their day-to-day objectives
  • Establish goals and strategy and drive alignment throughout the organization to meet or exceed productivity, and financial targets
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent qualification or a combination of job-related education
  • Aluminum fabrication knowledge preferred
  • Aluminum welding knowledge is a plus
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience desired
  • Prior management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility preferred
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems, ADP Workforce Now is a plus
  • Demonstrated project management and multi-tasking skills while staying detail-oriented
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and build strong relationships
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills are a must
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
