The position requires PLC/DCS proficiency, strong electrical/mechanical skills, and the ability to read electrical prints. You will collaborate with maintenance and operations teams and contribute to food safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years electro-mechanical maintenance experience or a Maintenance Technician degree.
• Strong electrical background with PLC/DCS knowledge.
• Ability to read and update electrical prints; mechanical knowledge of bearings, pumps, conveyors.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily preventive and corrective electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Troubleshoot pumps, valves, and grain handling systems; program PLC/DCS as needed.
• Monitor meters and gauges to diagnose malfunctions and leaks.
• Follow safety policies (OSHA, GMP) to ensure food safety and quality.
• Assist senior technicians and participate in root-cause analyses.

Job Title: Plant Maintenance Worker Location: Atkinson, NE Shift: 1st shift: 7am - 4pm Pay: $25/hour

Job Summary: Aventure Staffing is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for all daily aspects of preventive and corrective maintenance on farm machinery and processing equipment to ensure operations run smoothly and safely. This role involves troubleshooting, minor repairs, equipment setup, and collaborating with maintenance and operations teams to maintain food safety and quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform daily preventive and corrective electrical and mechanical repairs, equipment adjustments, and startups.


• Continuous Improvement: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, automatic valves, and grain handling systems. Program PLC/DCS systems as needed.


• System Logging: Monitor meters, gauges, and warning signals to identify and diagnose unit malfunctions, leaks, breakages, or faulty components.


• Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to site safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to ensure food safety and quality.


• Team Collaboration: Assist senior maintenance craftsmen, participate in ongoing training, and contribute to root-cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures.

Requirements & Physical Demands

• Education: 3+ years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience OR a Maintenance Technician Degree.


• Experience: Strong electrical background, including PLC/DCS knowledge and the ability to read and update electrical prints. Mechanical background with experience changing bearings, pumps, conveyors, and related equipment.


• Environment: Varying temperature environments (hot to cold), loud noise levels, dust/fumes, and working near moving mechanical parts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Hart Communication Systems, Profibus wiring/communication methods, and DeviceNet.


• Pneumatic and Hydraulic system experience.
