Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials is seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic for our Buckhorn Quarry in Jefferson, SC. You will work as part of a team to keep equipment running through maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

Responsibilities include mechanical maintenance, fabrication, welding, and cutting, plus preventive inspections and safe operation of mobile equipment. Prioritize safety and clear communication on-site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience operating mobile equipment (e.g., forklifts).
• Good organizational and math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance, fabrication, assembly, welding, and cutting.
• Troubleshoot, dismantle, repair, and reassemble mechanical equipment.
• Conduct preventive inspections and document findings.
• Maintain safe work areas and operate mobile equipment as needed.
