Job summary

Manatt’s Plant Maintenance Technician (PMT) supports safe, reliable plant operations with preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment. The PMT performs inspections, ensures OSHA/MSHA compliance, and works with management to minimize downtime.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, 1–3 years in maintenance/fabrication, and a valid Class A CDL with airbrakes. The role involves lifting up to 80 lbs, climbing, and occasional overnight travel, based on business needs.

Qualifications

• General experience with industrial equipment and ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Proficient in hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor systems, water systems, welding and fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
• CDL Class A with airbrakes endorsement and current IDOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure assigned equipment meets safety, efficiency, cleanliness, and excellence standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain pre/post trip inspection reports and ensure certifications are up to date.
• Support building and erecting new plants and disassembling/rebuilding plants as needed.
• Operate maintenance equipment such as loaders and ready-mix trucks.
