Job summary

ADM Animal Nutrition in Topeka, KS seeks an Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance in production and research areas. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, gas, steam, water, and air systems, lead installation of new equipment, and modify lines to improve safety and efficiency.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate degree preferred) and at least 2 years of maintenance experience in grain processing or related fields.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in maintenance/related field highly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience in grain processing or related field.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical blueprints and ability to read and interpret them.
• Ability to operate various mechanical equipment and forklift safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent attendance, reliability, and safety/mathematical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general preventative maintenance schedules for production and research areas.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, gas, steam, water, and air problems.
• Lead installation of new plant equipment and modify supply lines as needed.
• Modify process flow to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Maintain building and surrounding facilities; communicate issues to Plant Manager.
• Identify food safety and product integrity issues and report to appropriate personnel.
