Job summary

Umicore is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to provide mechanical and electrical support ensuring safe, reliable plant operation. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment, assist with new system installs, and help drive reliability initiatives.

The role requires 2–5 years of maintenance experience with rotating shift schedules and a focus on safety and continuous improvement. Pasadena, TX site with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical certification required or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of maintenance experience (mechanical, electrical, or both) required.
• 5–10 years of industrial/plant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on plant equipment
• Complete assigned work orders safely and efficiently
• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to improve reliability and uptime Electrical & Instrumentation
• Maintain and repair electrical systems, motors, control panels, and instrumentation
• Support installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions
• Maintain pumps, valves, conveyors, rotating equipment, and mechanical systems
• Perform alignment, lubrication, and mechanical repairs
• Support equipment rebuilds and installations
• Follow OSHA and site safety procedures at all times
• Identify and implement improvements to reduce downtime and improve performance
• Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process optimization
• Assist in developing maintenance procedures and training documentation
• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Contractors
• Support training and skill development across the maintenance team
• Foster teamwork and knowledge sharing across disciplines
