Job Summary/Hours

This position is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of bakery production equipment and mechanical systems. Dependability is critical to bakery operations.

Position is for 3rd shift – Hours are 11pm to 7am (Sunday to Wednesday; Thursday/Friday hours are negotiable).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Hands-on experience in a mechanical setting/position.
• Ability to understand and retain knowledge of mechanical systems.
• General understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical concepts.
• Knowledge and experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Ability to operate industrial equipment and computer-driven controls.
• Multitasking abilities.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work within deadlines.
• Ability to work multiple shifts over a 21-hour production cycle up to seven days/week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate with production team members to identify and troubleshoot potential maintenance issues.
• Complete maintenance tasks as assigned by management.
• Help maintain an organized and clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Ability to twist, turn, pull, crouch down, climb, and lift 75 pounds consistently.
• Able to operate machinery that assists in lifting, pushing, or pulling heavy equipment.
• Exposure to dusty and loud conditions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
