Job summary

Airgas is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician in Fairless Hills, PA. You will preserve and optimize plant machinery, equipment, and facilities, collaborating with internal and external customers on Airgas equipment questions.

Travel to customer sites for equipment needs may be required. You will follow blueprints and maintenance manuals while using hand tools, welding equipment, and testing meters to keep the plant compliant with FDA, Safecor, and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; one-year technical college is a plus.
• 1+ year arc and gas welding experience; 2+ years in industry preferred.
• Experience with electrical circuits, motors, compressors, and pumps in an industrial setting.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and optimize bulk tanks, valves, and cryogenic pumps.
• Operate and maintain equipment for pumping or repackaging gasses into cylinders.
• Monitor and service pumping equipment, tanks, valves, and sensors.
• Answer technical questions from internal or external sources.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance (FDA/Safecor/DOT).
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Maintain clean, orderly plant appearance and report incidents.
