Job summary

Nutrien’s Marseilles Plant is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations, ensuring safety, quality, cost and environmental standards are met. The role involves overseeing storeroom, work orders, budgets, and coordination with Production and Maintenance teams.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, industrial maintenance or electrical certification (or 5+ years’ related experience), and welding certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Industrial Maintenance or Electrical certification, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant Industrial Maintenance or Electrical work experience.
• Welding certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain storeroom and inventory levels to assure plant availability.
• Maintain plant reliability through work orders and preventative maintenance across Production, Shipping, Office, and Maintenance.
• Keep maintenance costs within budget.
• Keep the Operations Superintendent informed of issues that arise in the plant.
• Maintain Maintenance Dept. in compliance with relevant laws.
• Ensure safety of all employees and adherence to SOPs.
• Issue proper permits for all jobs at the Marseilles Plant (hot work, line break, lock/tag, etc.).
• Perform weekly, monthly and annual inspections of equipment.
• Promote Environmental Based Safety Program.
• Develop leadership and succession by training others.
• Coordinate maintenance work with Production Supervisors.
• Maintain payroll timesheets in SAP weekly.
• Schedule labor projects (turnarounds, etc.).
• Support Animal Food Quality and Safety Management System as needed.
