Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Company is seeking a Maintenance Manager for our Topeka, KS plant. This on-site role focuses on leading maintenance resources, improving reliability, and coaching teams to solve problems and prevent losses.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in maintenance management, CMMS usage, and a track record of developing technical capabilities across the workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience leading a team with safety as a top priority.
• Strong technical and mechanical ability with troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with maintenance work, development, planning and scheduling.
• Experience with a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance resources and establish priorities.
• Support operating departments’ leaders, maintenance planners and technicians to develop technical acumen.
• Understand and apply Progressive Maintenance tools.
• Prioritize work using the CMMS to manage tasks.
• Respond to process failures with urgency and accuracy.
• Train all levels of the organization to perform mechanical work.
