Job summary

Titan America LLC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support the Lumberton region. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and focuses on repairing and maintaining electronic and mechanical equipment across our concrete plants and facilities.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance while adhering to safety policies. Candidates should have strong mechanical skills, be capable of working outdoors, and willing to travel between sites as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in hydraulic systems, electrical, air conditioning and pneumatics.
• Experience with preventive maintenance inspections and scheduling.
• Welding and fabrication experience; heavy equipment operation.
• Strong mechanical skills and problem solving.
• Knowledge of the ready-mix or related industries is a plus.
• Must provide own tools.
• Commitment to safety standards.

Job Description

S&W Ready Mix is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to work in the Lumberton region. This is an hourly position reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager.

The primary responsibility of this position is to repair and maintain machinery, both electronic and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and other plant and mobile equipment related to our concrete plants and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes required work orders and sketches in order to troubleshoot, repair and install equipment
• Make plant repairs and perform maintenance in a timely manner to ensure continuous operations
• Perform daily preventative maintenance inspections, repairs, and scheduling
• Follow all applicable safety regulations and policies
• Identify multiple projects and prioritize work to maximize plant productivity
• Communicate clearly and effectively at various levels to obtain and provide information needed to accomplish goals
• Perform maintenance and repair of various types of plant equipment across various plant locations
• Maximize equipment availability through the use of efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Related experience and/or training in hydraulic systems, electrical, air conditioning, and pneumatics
• Previous experience doing preventative maintenance inspections and scheduling
• Previous welding, fabrication, and heavy equipment operation experience
• Strong mechanical skills and the ability to problem solve
• Ready-mix industry knowledge or related industry a plus
• Dedication to maintain the highest standard of safety in all aspects of the job
• Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repair, certification preferred

• Must provide own tools

Working Environment

• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
• Working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold and other outdoor environmental conditions, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights and lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime
• Ability to pass pre-employment processes including criminal background check, physical and drug screen
• Travel between sites as needed, travel as much as 100% of the time
