Job summary

Forvia seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineering/ME leader to ensure series production meets customer requirements and to drive continuous improvement across the plant.

You will manage ME indicators, support budgeting and CAPEX, and coordinate external partners to ensure successful program launches. Strong English and a Master’s in engineering are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in production, including one position in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience.
• Master's degree in engineering or applicable work experience.
• Trained in Faurecia Excellence System and Program Management System.
• Experience in program launch.
• Proficient level of English.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

Series production

• Support the engineering change management process
• Build the engineering budget and the plant CAPEX; and ensure their application

Continuous improvement process:

• Support the continuous improvement process in Labor, Quality, Equipment and Engineering

Plant readiness to launch new programs

• Participate in the definition of the production process and selection of machines and equipment
• Support production in the start of new processes to ensure a successful SOP (initial samples, run @ rate, work instructions) managing PLTL’s.

• Participate to the gate reviews and validate the industrial gate reviews
• Support to RFQ (Request for Quotation) in order to give manufacturing inputs

People Management

• Staff, train coach, assess and develop the plant ME and Maintenance teams (direct or dotted line)
• Schedule specific technical trainings from suppliers/ vendors.
• Participation in the management of the expertise network (knowledge capitalization)

Reporting

• Consolidate ME key indicators of the plants and propose action plans

HSE

• Support commitments established in the ISO 14001 Environmental Policy.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

• At least 5 years of experience in production area, including one position in Manufacturing Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in leadership
• Preferably a Master degree in engineering or applicable work experience
• Trained in Faurecia Excellence System and Program Management System
• Experience in program launch
• Proficient level of English

• Good financial skills (costing, budget, investment)
• Leadership skills
• Ability to interface with other functions - Networking capabilities.
