The Simplot Company in Mountain Home, ID is seeking a mill maintenance technician to perform day-to-day upkeep of our grain facility, ensuring reliable operation of equipment and resources.

You will operate welding equipment, perform electrical repairs from basic to high voltage, complete routine preventive maintenance, and assist with fabricating as needed. Candidates should have 1-2 years in plant maintenance and be able to lift up to 100 pounds; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of maintenance experience in plant manufacturing.
• Experience with welding, electrical work and fabrication.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and have a valid driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Operate welding equipment to repair augers, structural components, and basic plant equipment.
• Perform electrical repairs on equipment and motors from basic to high voltage.
• Daily maintenance to ensure smooth grain facility operations.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the Mill Supervisor.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in a loud outdoor mill environment.

Summary

Provides the day to day maintenance of the mill facilities to promote the effective and efficient use of the mill resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment to repair augers, structural work, and basic equipment in the plant.
• Perform electrical repairs in equipment and motors ranging from basic to high voltage.
• Daily maintenance and repairs to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the grain facility.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Mill Supervisor.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

1-2 years of experience in plant manufacturing maintenance. Experience to include welding, electrical and some fabricating.

Language Skills

• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed driver of single axle vehicles.
