Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Maintenance Night Shift at our Columbia West Quarry in Columbia, MO. Hours are 10pm–6am and pay is $25–$30 per hour.

Responsibilities include safety participation, equipment maintenance, welding, and teamwork to keep conveyors and machinery running efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience with heavy equipment or military maintenance, and a valid US driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture.
• Disassemble machines and remove parts for repairs using hand tools, chain falls, jacks or hoists.
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear.
• Collaborate with team members to repair moving machine parts for equipment or transport materials between work areas.
• Lubricate machines, machine parts or other equipment according to standards.
• Tend to equipment such as conveyors to move materials through production processes.
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment.
• Perform welding and fabrication activities as needed.
• Work in a team environment.
• Clean work areas.
• Proper wear of personal protective equipment.
• Notify supervisors of repairs needed.

• General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling material
