ABOUT THE ROLEThe plant designer provides state-of-the-art designs for existing and future operating plants during definition, planning and execution phases of CAPEX projects for Cement, Waste Management, Power, Logistic, Aggregate and Ready Mix. Creating benefits in designing projects safely, on time, at lowest costs, on quality, right first and elaborates on one or more projects. In close cooperation with Engineering Managers, the Engineering Discipline Engineers, the necessary drawings/documents defining the scope of the project. The Plant Designer is responsible for elaborating and visualizing technically functional plant solutions that are safe, maintenance and operation friendly, and cost effective. Execution of the design work shall be carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner, and shall comply with safety and technical guidelines, standards and methods.
The preferred locations for this position are Plano, TX or Dundee, MI. The position can be remote as long as you live within a reasonable distance from an airport and are able to do the travel. The ideal candidate has experience with layouts that include conveyors or other material handling systems in a heavy industrial environment.
