Job summary

WestRock Services, LLC (d/b/a Smurfit Westrock) in Von Ormy, TX seeks a General Manager to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for corrugated box production, drive profitability, safety, and quality, and align business plans with strategic goals.

You will build a high-performance team, manage capital projects, apply Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC to improve OEE, and collaborate with Sales, Logistics, and R&D to grow key accounts and optimize plant P&L.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, manufacturing, engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive operations experience.
• Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for corrugated box production, including corrugator, converting, finishing, warehousing and logistics.
• Apply engineering-based decision making to optimize throughput, yield, waste reduction, and energy efficiency.
• Direct capital projects with ROI modeling, capacity analysis and risk assessment.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and SPC to improve OEE, uptime and quality.
• Oversee safety compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.

• Align with other units and departments to better serve customers crossing multiple business units.
