Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking a Plant Finance Manager at the Wooster, OH facility to lead financial planning, reporting and internal controls. You will supervise accounting staff, manage audits, and drive cost optimization while ensuring GAAP compliance and alignment with corporate goals.

This senior role requires deep manufacturing finance knowledge, strong analytical skills, and effective collaboration with plant management, operations and external auditors to deliver accurate, timely insights

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Advanced degree and/or accounting certifications preferred.
• 5+ years progressive leadership experience.
• Knowledgeable in manufacturing, business, accounting and finance concepts, ERP and related tools.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, with a proven track record of advancing roles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and administers the financial control plan for the facility, including profit planning, sales forecasts, budgets, A/R, cost standards and capital investments.
• Compares performance against budget and provides reports to plant manager and group controller.
• Conducts cost studies, analyses and evaluations to drive cost reductions and profit improvements.
• Recommends and maintains compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Prepares all accounting ledgers, plant and corporate reports and related detail files.
• Ensures accurate accounting classification of expenditures, including capital and other transactions.
• Reviews inventory control and reporting procedures to ensure accurate records and costs.
• Interfaces with internal and external auditors and taxing authorities.
• Manages local tax and treasury activities at the plant level.
• Documents local accounting policies and procedures; manages local accounting personnel.
• Collaborates with Program Management Team on IPM and Agile tasks.

Dauch is seeking a Plant Finance Manager to join our world-class team. At a senior level, manages the financial record keeping, reporting, tax filing, and other accounting functions for the organization.Ensuring the accounting policies and practices of the organization are followed; working closely with internal auditors, public accountants, federal tax examiners, and other financial professionals; ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.Overseeing and evaluating the activities of the accounting staff, and providing for their professional development; analyzing and solving accounting problems.Preparing or leading preparation of reports that summarize and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings, based on past, present, and expected operations.Producing accurate and timely financial reports, for internal and external use, in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Job Description:

• Coordinates and administers an adequate plan for the financial control of the facility. This includes a plan that provides profit planning, sales forecasts, expense budgets, accounts receivable, cost standards and saving opportunities, and capital investing.

• Compares performance against budget and operating plan and standards. Provides reports and interprets results to plant manager and group controller.

• Conducts special projects, cost studies, analyses and new business evaluations. Provides statistics, reports and recommendations resulting in cost reductions and profit improvements.

• Recommends, implements, and maintains compliance with all accounting policies and internal controls.

• Responsible for the preparation of all accounting ledgers, plant reports, corporate reports, other financial reports, and related supporting detail or sub-ledger files and reports.

• Responsible for accurate accounting classification of all expenditures, including capital and other transactions to ensure that balance sheet and income statement accounts are accurate.

• Responsible for reviewing inventory control and reporting procedures to ensure that inventory records and manufacturing cost are accurate.

• Responsible for contact with the Company’s independent and internal auditors and with all taxing authority auditors/personnel.

• Responsible for local tax and treasury management at the plant level.

• Responsible for statutory reporting and documenting all local accounting policies and procedures.

• Responsible for managing local accounting personnel.

• Responsible for working with the Program Management Team in completing all required IPM and other Agile tasks

• All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in an Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Advanced degree and or accounting certifications preferred

• 5+ years progressive leadership experience

• Knowledgeable in manufacturing, business, accounting and finance concepts, hardware, operating systems, Microsoft Office, HFM, Plex, Oracle and other ERP

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required, with a proven track record of advancing roles and responsibilities within the accounting and finance sectors/systems..
