Confidential agriculture company in east central South Dakota seeks a General Manager to lead the main facility and oversee day-to-day operations across purchasing, warehousing, processing, and transportation. The role requires hands-on leadership with experience in production agriculture and direct engagement with farmers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with grain and farmers
• Experience running plant/warehouse operations and product origination
• Comfort with accounting and financial aspects of an agribusiness
• Knowledge of safety programs and day-to-day operational discipline
• Ability to lead and communicate with employees at all levels

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the main facility, coordinating purchasing/originating, warehousing, conditioning, mixing, packaging, sales support, and transportation
• Oversee safety, productivity, and team performance
• Manage financial and accounting aspects of the business
• Maintain strong grower relationships and engage with farmers
• Evaluate and apply agricultural equipment and new technology
• Communicate clearly with a dedicated team across functions
• Protect and grow the family-owned culture and operational standards
