Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a Plant Equipment Reliability Technician to maintain and repair complex molding line equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and HVAC systems.

You will diagnose issues, adjust controls, and verify performance with start-up tests in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong technical knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics and PLCs, and a commitment to safe operation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ experience troubleshooting injection molding machinery and secondary equipment.
  • Robotics and PLC background with the ability to diagnose issues and adjust programs.
  • Preferred: industrial electrical knowledge; strong working knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, machinery, and HVAC.
  • Comfortable reading electrical/mechanical schematics; interpret complex technical procedures and variables.
  • Must pass written and practical hi-lo operation tests; forklift certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair facility equipment and grounds across mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC domains.
  • Diagnose through observation and testing; disassemble assemblies to access defective parts, assess wear/fit, and restore to spec.
  • Clean, lubricate, repair/replace parts, and tune instruments/controls; validate performance with start-up tests.
  • Service electrical equipment and control systems; conduct routine plant safety inspections.
  • Close out maintenance requests; log PMs in the book and attach completion tags to serviced auxiliary gear.
  • Follow OSHA/ANSI safe-work practices; submit requisitions with approvals for parts and materials.

You prioritize, isolate faults quickly, adjust instrumentation, and verify performance with a clean test run.
