Job summary

Arclin in Cleveland (Coit) is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager to oversee capital projects, maintenance strategy, and overall plant performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role reports to the Plant Manager and collaborates with the Maintenance Team, Operations Manager, and Process Engineers to meet safety, quality, and long-term profitability goals.

You will own plant assets, manage budgets, implement preventive and predictive maintenance, and lead capital project

Qualifications

• 7+ years of plant maintenance/engineering/project engineering experience.
• Experience leading maintenance teams and managing capital projects.
• Ability to work with all levels of personnel and be on-call for issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on plant operations and designs; prepare engineering analyses for projects.
• Own and manage all plant assets and budgets.
• Create and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
• Act as project manager for capital plant projects.
• Coordinate with customers and contractors to meet project outcomes.
• Evaluate suppliers and equipment against specs and quality standards.
• Track and report capital and maintenance spend.
• Provide performance management and development for maintenance team.
• Set objectives, coach staff, and communicate departmental direction.
• Remove barriers and allocate resources to the maintenance team.

Job description

Arclin i s currently seeking talent for a Plant Engineering Manager at our Cleveland location (Coit) .

This role resides in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is responsible for developing, evaluating, and continuously improving manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design materials, chemicals, and production equipment capabilities.

• Responsible for plant capital, facilities and equipment that will achieve desired result in a cost-efficient manner.


• Responsible and accountable for leading, managing, and giving guidance to maintenance department with set goals and objectives directed towards achieving plant KPI’s.

This role reports to the Plant Manager and works closely with the Maintenance Team, Operations Manager, and Process Engineers in an effort to meet safety, quality, and long‑term profitability of the facility.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical advice on plant operations and improvements. Prepares engineering analysis of projects that includes preliminary design, detailed design, project cost analysis, life cycle cost analysis and equipment selection.


• Owner and accountable for all plant assets.


• Creating and maintaining of plant level preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance systems.


• Function as a project manager for various capital projects at plant level.


• Communicates with internal and external customers and contractors to ensure project plans and work in progress will meet desired outcomes.


• Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.


• Responsible for controlling, tracking and reporting spending of the overall capital budget.


• Responsible for controlling, tracking and reporting spending of the overall maintenance budget.


• Provides full cycle performance management support for direct reports under Plant Maintenance department.


• Setting objectives, coaching and monitoring work in progress, coaching for career direction and skill development, providing formal feedback and recognition, communicating overall departmental and function strategic direction and progress against plans.


• Removes barriers, gains access to resources and prioritizes the work of team members.

Plant Engineering Manager Job Requirements:

• B.S. in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline or


• 7+ years of plant maintenance/engineering/project engineering experience.


• Ability to work well with all levels of personnel throughout the facility.


• On-call for manufacturing related issues.
