Job summary

Niagara Bottling is seeking a Plant Engineering Manager to lead engineering, maintenance, reliability, and process improvements across our facilities. You will drive asset reliability, product quality, and safety.

This role oversees design, upgrades, capital projects, and continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma, RCM, FMEA, RCA, and productive collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in engineering required; Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Systems preferred.
  • Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt) preferred.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in manufacturing or high-speed production environments.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and capital projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead plant engineering, maintenance, reliability, and process engineering programs.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma and RC(M), FMEA, RCA and predictive maintenance.
  • Oversee design, optimization, construction, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate and manage preventative and predictive maintenance systems.
  • Lead capital projects and process design improvements.

Plant Engineering Manager

Responsible for leading plant engineering, maintenance, reliability engineering, process engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversees the design, optimization, construction, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment and infrastructure while establishing standards, policies, and procedures. Drives operational excellence through Lean Six Sigma methodologies, reliability-centered maintenance, and process optimization to improve plant performance, asset reliability, product quality, and safety.


Essential Functions


  • Routine facility maintenance duties including plant electrical infrastructure, chilled water systems, facility structural systems, compressed air systems, and water systems

  • Develop and implement monitoring systems to evaluate equipment reliability, asset health, and maintenance effectiveness

  • Lead Reliability Engineering initiatives including Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and predictive maintenance technologies

  • Establish asset management strategies to maximize equipment uptime, lifecycle performance, and maintenance cost efficiency

  • Coordinate and manage all preventative and predictive maintenance systems through in-house labor and external service providers

  • Manage technicians, engineers, and cross-functional teams to accomplish engineering, reliability, and continuous improvement objectives

  • Perform hands-on technical support as needed to ensure ongoing plant operations, including support of Sorting, Grind, Washing, Flake Sortation, SSP, and Pelletizing

  • Lead plant project work including capital projects, equipment upgrades, process design improvements, and corporate-driven initiatives

  • Drive cost-savings projects aligned with company strategies through engineering improvements, reliability gains, and process optimization

  • Lead Process Engineering efforts including process design, optimization, capacity analysis, mass balance, material flow, and throughput improvements

  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, reduce variability, and improve yield, efficiency, and product quality

  • Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives including Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), TPM, and SPC to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase throughput

  • Utilize data-driven, structured problem-solving methodologies to improve process capability and reduce variation

  • Establish and implement visual controls, standard work, process audits, and performance management systems

  • Act as a change agent, continuously challenging current processes and driving a culture of continuous improvement across the plant

  • Partner with plant leadership and corporate teams to identify, prioritize, and execute strategic initiatives aligned with business objectives

  • Build and develop engineering and continuous improvement capabilities within the plant, including training, mentoring, and coaching team members

  • Serve as a key contributor to plant safety by promoting safe behaviors, ensuring compliance, and actively participating in safety initiatives

Typical Compensation Range

Pay Rate Type: Salary


$118,265.81 - $168,528.81 / Yearly


Bonus Target: 15% Annual
